How I became hooked!

As a kid I loved playing the board game Monopoly. I loved purchasing homes and hotels and collecting rent every time someone landed on my property. As a young adult owning real estate was always a dream but seemed so far from reality due to the cost. I was never really taught the basic fundamentals of real estate and mortgages.

Everything I have learned and accomplished has been self taught. I’ve attended workshops, seminars, read books, read articles, followed Real Estate leaders on social and subscribed to monthly insights. This is what I find fascinating is the unlimited opportunities in real estate.

In 2002, I purchased my first home; a two story home in Chilliwack for $186,000. Twelve months later, that same house sold for $286,000, netting a $100,000 profit.

Wow!! The profit was nice, but it was the art of the deal I fell in love with. The negotiating, the anxiety of completing the deal and everything in between. I loved it all!

I was hooked.
